Makerspace - Sept.5th

The Page School Makerspace

Thanks to a $5,000 Lowe's Toolbox for Education Grant, the Page School has created a Makerspace on the second floor.  This space will house a variety of hand tools, power tools, and materials providing students in all grades additional project based learning opportunities.

On a warm sunny day in August, three Lowe's employees, Vicki, Bri, and Nathan, joined parent Steve Dewey, principal Dustin Gray, and STEAM Coordinator Hilary Seager to build three workbenches for the new Makerspace.  The workbenches were christened last week by the staff.  After participating in tool training, the teachers were challenged to use as many tools as possible to create a letter for the word Makerspace.  The creative sign will hang outside the new area.

Please take a moment to visit the Makerspace on September 19th during Back to School Night.

Welcome to the STEAM Scoop where a different grade will be showcased each week. Visit this page each week to see the exciting work our students are doing.
